Ganda’s Ghost is ostensibly an acrylic painting on panel where sharpie pen and graphite pencils were also used. The painting depicts a metaphysical world of an unnamed time and place where a Rhino, after Durer’s “Ganda”, is standing on a plane suspended in an unsaturated mauve with an elongated striped cuboid column running vertically through one of its geometric holes. On the same plane, there are stairs leading up to an arch through which one can pass. In the far space mountains rise up above the horizon line which is placed on the golden section to subliminally evoke questions around aesthetics.
